I was on a Plein Aire outing at the Western N.C Nature Center. I was situated by the parking area by the Swannanoa River. I was struggling with the location. I turned around and saw this little rise with flowers on each side leading up to an area with the Mountains in the background. It was a pleasant surprise. I took a photo and made a quick sketch and repainted it recently using a limited palette. I also changed the composition to lead the eye. Hope you like this gem.
