I used soft pastels with an acrylic medium for a little texture in this piece. It seemed to highlight the sunlight on the trees. This scene was inspired by a trip to S.W Germany and France along the Rhine. We took a day trip to the Black Forest region. On a walk around the town of Hofgut Sternen we came upon this stream in the Ravenna Gorge entering the Black Forest.
